Duration: 6 days
This intensive course will provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform the tasks of an assistant instructor. You will learn how to organize and teach the academic part as well as the confined water part of the Open Water Diver course under the supervision of an instructor. At the same time you will learn how to independently teach the Try Dive, Scuba Skills Update and Perfect Buoyancy courses. In addition, being an SSI Assistant Instructor allows you to become a Specialty Instructor for 9 different specialty courses!
Requirements
- Minimum age 18 years
- Minimum of 75 logged dives that add up to a total of at least 50 hours
- Meet the following administrative requirements up to date: medical certificate that is less than one year old; Documentation of cpr-, first aid and oxygen provider training that is less than two years old; accident and civil liability insurance
- Your own complete diving equipment, including dive computer, compass and buoy (you get a discount if you buy equipment from us)
- SSI Divemaster certificate or equivalent from another acknowledged diving agency
