A steep wall that stretches from Corralejo to Lobos and Playa Blanca (Lanzarote). After a boat trip of about 5 minutes to the north, we reach an elevation of the reef platform, which is about 12 m deep. From here a vertical wall leads to a depth of about 20-22m and forms caves, vaults and passages where we find sea anemones, spider crabs, moray eels… Stingrays, angelsharks, barracudas, eagle rays, scorpionfish and many more species can roam freely under the ledges. For those who love to take underwater pictures there is a beautiful and colorful field of gorgonias and anemones. The shallow depth, diversity of life and weak currents make “El Calamareo” one of the best dive sites in the region.
